colts rugby at Orrell

Perhaps someone involved in colts rugby at Orrell can explain why we have lost the best colts teams in the league over the last two years . We lost the league winners who all went to wigan as senior colts and then last years junior colts were brilliant and are now struggling to avoid relegation from a much lower league as seniors. they are even playing junior colts rugby as the junior colts are not that great. it is no good saying juniors are the future and then not looking after them they will just leave as is happening now. we are not losing them because they are going away they are just losing heart due to they way things are run get yourselves in gear and sort it out isnt that what committees are supposed to do it seems the colts people are only interested in the first team now bring someone in that wants to keep the colts and fead the first team

Everyone on the Junior Committee is doing eveything possible to keep the whole of the section together. If you would like to volunteer to help out you only have to contact one of the committee.

if ur doing all u can why dont u fold the j colts an put them in the s colt so we can keep the older players who could soon be ready to play first team rugby an keep the club alive

I cannot believe what I am reading, in the past a lot of work went into keeping these guys together and it showed with the results at colts level. Now it seems they are dissillusioned with the club, surely on hearing your coach was leaving it was a matter of urgency to replace him this is the second colts tem that has been lost after being succesful yourself Janet and the exec are stating we need to build from the bottom up it seems we have no bottom as the minis are struggling and when it gets to the top they have no support would it not be worth going back to some of the guys from the past and asking them to return it is no good having first team people coaching under 15s on wednesday and having no-one for any ages after that. I really didnt think things were this bad why can we not concentrate on the teams we have instead of trying recruit in the wrong areas and age groups recruitment is important but stability and support is really what is needed ,You know my feelings the people involved need to sort this out or we will lose the only other team with a strong squad in future years .many of the senior colts could have moved into coaching why has this not happened

im in the senoir colts team now that is curently in doubt & i totally agree with posts from excolt & strebor. We need things sorting becasue the mojrity of players have left the group (even i did mid way thorugh the season then came bk) and gone to other clubs.

i AM BEGINNING TO GET CONCERNS OVER WHJAT SEEMS TO BE A LOT OF POLITICS IN THE COLTS SECTION WITH MEMBERS OF COMMITTEE AND SOME OF THE COMMENTS MADE CAN SOMEONE PLEASE COME ON HERE AND GIVE SOME TRUE FACTS AS TO WHY THE SENIOR COLTS ARE LEAVING THIS WAS A SUCCESFUL TEAM COMMITED TO ORRELL AND i BELIEVE WE NEED SOME ANSWERS AS TO WHO ACTUALLY DESTROYED THEIR TEAM SPIRIT . YOU CAN SEE BY THEIR REMARKS SOMEONE IS REALLY CAUSING THEM GRIEF AND WE CANNOT EXPECT TO KEEP PLAYERS WITH THIS KIND OF THING ON OUR OWN WEBSITE

HI KEITH YOU MIGHT WANT TO LOOK AT OUR "Colts and Juniors Section Committe Chair" JANET WALKER FOR ANSWERS BECAUSE SHE HAS TOLD GOOD PLAYERS NOT TO COME BACK AND THERE NOT WANTED AT OUR CLUB E.G JACK SMITH. YOU MIGHT FIND THATS WHERE OUR SPIRIT HAS GONE. PLAYERS AND FAMILLY SPECTATERS ALL HAVE NOTICED WHAT HAD GONE ON IN OUR CLUB. ORRELL ITS SELF IS GOING TO HAVE NO FUTURE THE WAY IT IS GOIN BECAUSE WITHOUT GOOD YOUTH PLAYERS WHO IS GOING TO PLAY FOR THE 1ST TEAM WHEN THE PLAYERS HAVE LEFT!!!!1

Am goin to waterloo because to many other players r also leavin the club, n its not stable at all!! Other players have also said they will follow me on after i have left! The atmosphere at the club is shocking!! This is not down to the coaching staff or other players, its down to the back room staff upsetting us all !!! sorry lads, wish yaz the best of luck in wot u decide to do

Could everyone please try and make their posts a little less personal. May I suggest that if you are so unhappy, you call a meeting to air your views. Please remember that this is a public forum read by the general public and is not really the right place to launch personal attacks.

I hope you understand and can sort out your differences because you are the clubs future.

Let us all get things in perspective I stated ash, jennings and myself would help with the colts until the end of season I then rang greg who thought it would work, now it seems there will not be enough players without approaching the junior colts . As they have there own set up we dont wish to spoil that arrangement We will be at training on Tues and anyone involved should approach us and give their views on whether we should or should not try to keep this great team together perhaps someone on committee can either approach us or call a meeting between the coaches and ourselves to discuss this matter first behind closed doors Look at the players that have left we may have nothing to work with anyway We need the commitment of at least 18 lads , the coaches and the committee or we can spend tues nights gardening or in the pub we do have other things to pass our time if you dont think we are needed. come on boys stick with Orrell and lets see if anyone is interested in sorting your problems.
