Thanks Jon for stepping into this discussion, sorry this seems to have become a rather long post...
Personally I agree with the principle of free speech and will very rarely edit or remove a post, but with every right comes an element of responsibility. I think this is an important principle that some of the posters here are forgetting.
You can't exercise the right to free speech on these boards unless you act in a responsible manner and show respect to the other members/posters. Disagreements are good - they make the boards interesting - but do not use them as a means of attacking people, especally those who give up a lot of their free time to support you.
If you have a problem with someone and what they do then speak with them. If that does not help then there are plenty of other people ariound you can speak to about it, to try and sort it out.
Do not just post your grievance on a web site - all that will do is upset people, make the situation worse and make you look bad.
This message board is here to discuss colts rugby, to inform each other, and to have some fun. It is here to help the teams - give them somewhere to discuss their rugby.
Do not use it to moan - that should be done face to face.
Also - if you want to play for Orrell, play for Orrell. If there are people who upset you then show some maturity and tell them, and if they continue.. ignore them. This club has a future, and we'd like you to be a part of it! Thanks for returning chrishignett - please stay with us and please encourage your team-mates to stay/return. Ignore politics (Rugby has enough of this) and just play for your team and for the future of your club!

It seems that a lot is being said about the future of both the Seniors and Juniors, while it is true that there is a shortage of players ,why they have left I dont know. However the juniors are going from a few i,e,4 in June,8 in July, 12 in August to a squad of17 happy smiling lads who train and play regularly in all conditions .I have agreed with Greg that we should try to get BOTH teams playing every week because neither team can miss 1 more game. All I ask is that ALL PLAYERS that have left for any reason this season come back and speak to either myself or Greg at training and join us Orrell again. We are determined to finish this season with 2 teams and to build to a very successful Colts section next season. We want the lads to play so come and join us and I will stand up for any member of my team against any provocation from non playing members of Orrell in other words STAND BY ME AND i'LL STAND BY YOU!!! sorry but i disagree, it will be better for us to play at senior colt level as that is where will will be next season. it gives us a chance to proove ourselfs. the seniors are wanting regular rugby and this can not be offered if the seniors do fold, as only 4 can play down the others will move and have allready moved clubs.

JA is right the seniors may only have 4 games left in the league that doesnt mean friendlys cant be played on free weekends but your talking about folding a team which you have to join anyway at the end of the season anyway. Both teams have nothing to play for in there leagues they cant win it so you have to look at the big picture fold the junior team and have a stronger squad for next season so you can and by the look of the team on sunday WILL win something. You need a big squad for senior rugby get rid of players who have senior and even national league experience you will struggle. Look at the big picture forget about this season and look to next season what are scared of moving up a level you all have the potential i heard Ian say some players couldnt play senior rugby and i disagree i think all the juniors can play senior rugby and shine. We cant listen to Ian or the other coaches on this one lads its not them whos playing were in a junior section were meant to develop here and that is all moving up a level is going to do. So lets fold the juniors because its the only logical thing to do coz were seniors in a couple of months anyway all we would do by folding the seniors is make the squad smaller.

The way i see it is the players that want to play 4 the senior colts on sunday tell greg an just tern up its not up to ian its up 2 you . Ian said he has 17 players but the last game i played for the junior colts they were 13 players there and 4 of them were form the seniors i dont see how your team can keep goin if we dont join so if u want to play for the seniors on sunday just ask greg he wont bite trust me midge

im not trying to put the team down here but one of the reasons that we have won so many games that we have done is due to the fact that we have used senior colts allthough we as juniors have got a lot better and i belive that all of us can play at senior level as we all undoubtably proved on sunday
yup i agree the last few games we have had 9 junior players

Come on guys sort this out you are Right it is your decision so don't be led by others you made your decision last night and you all seemed very mature to me, The problems all seemed to come from the adults you can show your maturity by deciding and sticking to your guns ring Greg individually and let him know which way you are going you only have till Sundays match to decide. best of luck whichever way it goes things will improve if you stick together as a team and let people know what your team wants and needs speak up for yourselves and you will be as good as the colts teams of the past with Greg at the helm

hi keith im the big lad form the seneoir that was there last night im starting to think i wont be staying because how can we play for a team that once a decsion has been hade it is then changed by someone else? i wonted to stay but this has done my head in now. if we can get a team ill defo be here till the end of the season but i will have hard choices to make after this season. i understand what has been said on this forum about players and games i think the facts need to be straight about the amount of players turning up for junoir games without our players. and the amount of games left. who is right do they only have a few more game. 1 game more than us left or do they have more? does anybody know?
