This is the message I got in my email - just posting it here in case any members didn't get it. I have been told (by Jim Lloyd) it is a 7.30 kick off.
"Dear Member
You have all, no doubt, been made aware of the difficulties we have continued to face throughout this season both on and off the field.
Much of what you know will have been as a result of reading what has appeared in local newspapers and, possibly, seen on the television.
On behalf of the Executive Committee I would like to invite you to a meeting on Tuesday April 3, 2007 at St Luke’s Parish Hall where we will bring you up to date with the current position and outline the options available to us for the future.
It is no secret that we are in an extremely difficult position. At the start of the season, at the last members’ meeting, there was an almost unanimous vote to continue playing semi-professional rugby. I outlined to you at that meeting, and in my subsequent letter, that to do so would need financial assistance from members.
This remains the position if we are to complete the season. If we are not able to raise sufficient finance to allow us to complete the season we will be forced to withdraw from the RFU leagues. This will severely restrict the options available for next season. I am sure you will agree that, whatever direction the club takes next season, we need to be in a position that gives us the most options.
I look forward to seeing you next Tuesday. Regards Tony Pegg
Chairman On behalf of the Executive Committee"
