I realise that over the past few years times have been difficult but that is no excuse for the complete lack of communication that has been fed down to the supporters and volunteers within the club. Paul, joe, john and Jim Lloyd have done their best but this has only been speculation and nothing even remotely positive, and I am sure that the people in charge dont really read this website anyway. Whatever is in the pipeline playing at John Rigby at Whatever level is not ideal and the training facilities are not particularly good . We are expecting junior and senior teams to train on a surface that is not helping forward coaching and this is now showing throughout the club I would love to see Orrell at a ground we can call our own but I realise this will be a few years down the line whatever happened to the good old fashioned rugby club with three teams a small but welcoming clubhouse and fans that are kept informed I wish everyone all the best and I will be at the last matches at edgehall road . Surely decisions need to be made now if there is to be any future it is no good saying things are happening behind the scenes and not letting people know, good luck and lets hope I can return to a succesful Orrell junior section sooner rather than later I am finding a new lease of life at present at another rugby clubs junior section.

I agree with your sentiments keith. The longer people are kept uninformed then the sooner they will invent their own scenarios, I read in the evening paper today that the committee are talking with Waterloo and Wigan RUFC with a view to sharing grounds/players etc.First I knew about it! Maybe the committee are not sure exactly where the future lies but surely I think they owe it to the loyal remaining members to pass on their thoughts and views on the immediate future for the club. To my mind it is so obvious that they and the Anvils should combine and go forward as ONE united ORUFC.However the possibility of uniting with the Anvils was not mentioned in the article in the press.

Cannot believe supporters would be expected to travel to Waterloo what happened to the community club idea or are we going to be a Liverpool community club and what happens to the junior section when the club is based at Waterloo this is just a recipe for another disaster lets just hope someone sees sense even though John Rigby is not ideal for training or playing

I totally agree... I have emailed Jim and Tony to find out if they are going to make any anouncements soon. I know they don't have all the answers yet - but the members and supporters still need to know what is being done.

It is disappointing to read in the Wigan Reporter that the club is weighing up five possible sites for next season and that the club has asked the RFU if it can drop two divisions to a level which they can be competitive and that "for the full exclusive story see this weeks Observer"..........there are alot of members and supporters investing their time and effort in keeping this club going at all levels..........let these people know what is happening rather than leave them to read stories in the press!!

well said mark also consider the juniors would be left behind at john rigby and this would be splitting the club the only way that orrell can survive as orrell is to stay local to the supporters and junior section

I agree Mark... The exclusive story should be in the Orrell Programme or on the website first...
I would like to express more precisely how I feel about this lack of "communication" - but I might get banned from the forum if I do...
