Yes I agree, not pretty, but quite accurate apart from the spin by Lindsey, which is a desperate attempt by him to justify his and Whelans performance during their involvement with The Club. As far as I remember the gates were rather good as people returned to The Club after we had been relegated several times. But all is not lost as developments are taking place which will ensure the future of The Club at a sustainable level.

The truth is in the article but you have to look closely when the club burned down it was far to long before being re built and then it was not ours this was the start of the junior section failing there was nothing to keep kids at the club and training facilities were poor Paul Liptrot and myself fought to keep us going but I think even we could see our hard work failing We need to give the kids more than just a pitch to play on we need to make them feel part of a club with a positive atmosphere and this is difficult at the moment as you can see from their web pages. It would be a shame to join another club in the area as is rumoured "we are Orrell " lets keep it that way I would love once again to be part of an Orrell junior section that sees training nights and Sundays packed with kids and parents in our own club lets hope it happens
