As part of our 'Orrell in the Community' campaign a number of youngsters/children associated with the two charities we are supporting this season (The Cystic Fibrosis Trust & Butterflies Children's Charity) have been invited to our next home match on the 16th December against Darlington.
I would ask that everyone does their very best to attend and help make the day a very special one. Why not bring a friend and lets make it one of the largest (and loudest) crowds we've had so far this season.
We are also hoping to have a number of children come along from some of the schools we have been into and a large crowd would certainly encourage them to become involved with Orrell.
Finally, as it's our closest game to Christmas, we will also be having a collection of any tins of food that people can spare to donate to another charity 'Tiernan Lodge', who help out underprivileged children and families. We would ask all those of you who can spare any tinned food (that's for human consumption by the way & not pet food!) to bring them along on the 16th December and deposit them at our collection point in 'Tent Village'.
If you can't make it to the game on the 16th (why not!!) but you would still like to donate a tin or two, please get in touch with me and I will arrange an alternative drop off point or collection.
Thank you all in anticipation....lets all help to make the 16th December a superb afternoon off the field and hopefully the lads can do it for us on the field.
