At under 16s we have a reasonable squad with lads who enjoy playing rugby union and want to represent Orrell at the next level but quite a few are showing concern as to where they go next year. Is it possible to form some kind of link with the colts or whatever is above us so the lads have some direction or we are going to lose a lot to league or rival clubs in the area like Liverpool St Helen's West Park even Ormskirk we have already lost 3 good lads from last year lose any more and we may not even have an under 16s team to move up.

Next season you should be junior colts at Under 17s level. This is a big development in your rugby career but dont worry about it . As for lads leaving why are they? There is a need for you lads to continue your rugby careers with Orrell and dont worry YOU will get the full support of the club. Ian 'mad dog' hollis (Colts coach)

They have converted to the dark-side over to league as they feel the opportunities open to them are better over there i now have just 17 players register to play for orrell with no club house nowhere to really call home and a field to play on. look at this site and compare the messages all the lads where putting on last year to the silence this year there needs to be some light at the end of the tunnel but the lads hear nothing and the teams below are struggling for numbers, All they want to do is play rugby if we start canceling matches through lack of players we will lose what players we have got

I can tell you that there are a number of people working hard to improve the situation at Orrell.
It is your club as much as anyone elses so don't just say "do something about it" tell us what you want and we will try and sort it out.

the team hs loads of suggestions and we do put them forward at trainin but ther neva put into action. we dont have the chance to get involved with the comitees like u sed this is our 'club as much as anyone elses' but we arent the oppertunity to help or get involved with anythin. iv played for the club all my life n i dont want to see it fall to pieces so keep us informed and let us make a contribution.

Okay how about having a chat about your ideas/suggestions after training tomorrow night and what you can do for the club and the club can do for you?

Colin and the rest of the U16s .Please raise any points you want about the club, I think most of you know me and if you want to talk come to the First team home matches any time and I'll be there . I cant promise to give you the answers you want but I can point you to the Orrell committee so that you can talk to them. As I've allways said YOU are the future of Orrell so the powers that be will listen to you as long as you are sensible about it.
