;D I believe training for the under 8's & 10's is back on at John Rigby starting tomorrow night (Wednesday 6th) starting at 6.30pm.
It's good to see we're back at our old venue although I don't think it's anything to do with Mr Whelan paying his bills.
See you all there... ;D

What a pity it is to see not only your seniors but your whole junior section going into decline three years ago you had 7,8,9,10,12,14,15,16s junior and senior colts and from what i see now only the senior colts and 15s are honouring their fixtures I am told that on a wednesday their are only a few kids at training at 9s11s and 13s has anything being done to rectify this as you have had one of the strongest junior sections in the northwest for many years this does not bear well for you clubs future

Three years ago we didn't have all of the above teams. But we could have more kids if more people would volunteer to help. The u9’s & U11’s have had only one person to coach and manage both teams. Why don't people stop point out negatives and start help out? Have you bothered to read the Volunteers needed link.

Alan I dont know who you are but you obviously have knowledge of the Orrell junior section and sorry janet but in 2003/4 we had teams at 7/8/9/10/11/13/14/15/16/junior and senior colts The committee have got someone in the schools and are asking all parents to volunteer if you have any ideas alan I am sure Janet will listen to them I dont think Alan meant to be negative janet but can see that the volunteers are not there, the parents need to be more involved but you know that anyway the ones already involved are probably sick of being used as a drop off centre come on parents help the section as best you can you can see that the club are giving youngsters their chances in the first and second team so give your child a chance to become the future of Orrell and volunteer for a position within your sons team.and if not then get your son to take a mate to training and build the teams up all the best Janet your doing a great job and so are the rest of your family pity theirs not more of you

A couple of points. 1. The U13s played their 3rd game of the season on Sunday, it would have been their 5th but for two being cancelled by the opposition. 2. The U11s season starts on 1 October each year. The U11s played their second game on Sunday. 3. My son in the U13s and is in his 6th or 7th season at Orrell. When he started the next team up was the current junior colts. Maybe the cold and damp air on training nights has finally got to my brain but the only team I can remember between his age group and the current Junior Colts has been the current U15s.
If you are a junior player or you want to volunteer, then why not join us at training or come and watch on match days.
The Colts train 7pm to 8.30pm on Tuesday and Thursday, all the other teams train on Wednesdays 6.30pm to 8pm.
I don't know about the other teams but the U13s are at home for the next three Sunday's kick off 11am.
I'll put posts on this website to confirm the home fixtures near the time.

As of yet we don't have enough U16's to field a team. At the moment some of the U16's are either player for the Junior Colts or the U15's, but as soon as we get enough they will all come together and make an U16's team. Same goes for the U14's.
