Facing a physcally large team Orrell fought hard in the 1st half, retaining significant periods of possesion, but where unable to cross the oppositions line. Aldwinians large pack pushed over the line for a try midway through the half, and followed up with 2 more tries from individual runs, leaving Orrell 3 converted tries to 0 down at the half way mark.
In the second half the Orrell team rallied brilliantly and dominated possesion, tackling like demons, frustrating the Aldwinaians who conceded several penalties. From one of these penalties the Orrell pack drove down the centre and a move down the right resulted in Kieran Fanning going over for a well deserved Orrell opener.
With only minutes to go the hard working pack pushed up the centre and a great move along ther back line gave Adam Worley the chance to step over the line in the corner.
The game closed out Aldwinians 21 Orrell 14, but the whole Orrell team showed fantastic commitment today against a physically larger team.
Well done to all the Under 12 players

Fantastic result for the lads,
I'm sure everyone who has ever encountered Aldwinians will agree they are very tough opponents to play against. Sounds like the U12's did Orrell proud out there
