Well today saw the last games of the season for the Under 11s with a mini tournament at Wigan RUFC.
On a fine day the team played some great rugby and only lost narrowly in the final to Wigan RUFC.
A great finish to the season.........well done Under 11s!!

The u 11's played some great rugby yesterday and did the club proud. Thanks to the coaches and dads for there help over the season. I think that someone from the junior committee should write to thank wigan for a great day? Would it be possible to arrange a tournament for the junior section teams(u16,u14,u11) prior to the start of the season in September? What a good start to the season this would be and a great way to gain some funds.

I'd be keen on the tournament idea. We could use it to attract a few more players. So count the U14s in.

I think a tournament at the start of next season would be great and will help raise the profile of the club............I will raise this with the junior committee.
There were a couple of lads playing for Wigan yesterday who played for Orrell a couple of seasons ago but understandably left because of the uncertainty etc surrounding the future of the club. I think yesterday the Under 11s showed them and others watching that Orrell RUFC is not going away and is fighting its way back to become the leading club in the region!!
