Well it was a defeat in their opening game of the season but we came away with a lot of positives from the game.
The match finished 50-12 to Blackburn but the scoreline doesn't tell the whole story, we were a man down for the duration of the game and for about 20min were 2 men down due to an unfortunate injury to Grant at Fullback.
In the forwards we more than matched Blackburn with Connor, Rob and Ali making some excellent ground with the ball as well as good defensive work. The Number 8 Singe broke the line on numerous occasion and went over for Orrell's first try.
The backs had a more defensive game with special mention going to Rob at centre who made a number of try saving tackles during the game. Also to Grant who despite an injury came back on and got our second try of the game.
Overall I think every player showed some really good skills and once they have come together more as a team the first win wont be too far away
