WITH Orrell struggling to even get a team on the pitch after six of their first team squad had left during the week, they were always facing a hiding.
From the kick-off Orrell were under pressure and from a catch and drive. Robert Vickers broke through some desperate tackling to open the scoring inside the first four minutes.
From then on it was a procession of tries and conversions to take the score to 59-0 at the break.
Despite the final score line of 102-0 Orrell tackled their hearts out, never gave up and were gallant in defeat, but added to problems off the field this was a humbling experience as they were on the end of the highest score against them in their history.
Although the team were despondent, they tried to quell the Tynedale advance.
Sixteen tries were scored with 11 conversions, Sam Beasley from fly-half crossing for four with Phil Belgian’s tally of 24 the main bulk of points with the others being spread around the rest of the team.
