Not exactly the result I had in mind yesterday First five minutes were encouraging and I thought we could have been in for a really close game or even our first win......but then it all went pear shaped and we spent the the remainder of the first half making errors and looking completely out of sync as a team. Taking nothing away from DMP though, they played well with some good set moves and ball handling. Yet again we came better in the second half managing to set the ball down five times over their line but the points given away in the first half and the mistakes from us that followed in the second proved our downfall yet again. We are without doubt a team that seems, for whatever reason, to play better in the second half. I'm sure that the RFU won't just let us play the last 40 minutes, therefore it's something we need to work on (although I'm sure Chris, you don't need anyone to tell you that). I still have faith that we can improve to a point that we can start to win on a regular basis and I will continue to flip burgers and bang the drum for Orrell until that time comes and I hope many others feel the same. It may just be me but I can feel a real buzz off the pitch and I can feel that buzz building every match..despite the final score. I know for a fact that we have new fans coming along every week and I just can't imagine what the atmosphere will be like when that first win comes.......soon. I had a call from Danny Badham this morning asking me to pass on thanks from all the Team & Coaches to all those who made the trip over to DMP. The Team appreciate the support and I for one can vouch for the fact that they were totally p'd off when they were coming off the pitch yesterday. Keep the faith.............

I would like to thank everyone at both Orrell and DMP for their concern and help, for myself and Amy last Saturday after our unfortunate "incident" on the way to the game. We are both in one piece-one very sore piece granted, but it was very touching the support and concern everybody, from coaches, to supporters to the players, showed for us last Saturday.
I would like to thank Tony Pegg for coming out of his way to pick us up, Danny and Rocky for stopping and checking up on us, Jim Lloyd for sorting everything out at DMP and the nice cups of tea, Chris Cuddly for his "women drivers" comment!!!!!, and the boys for showing their concern these past couple of days. It was a horrible way for me to finish my time at Orrell and i was gutted I did not feel up to doing the game-but I certainly left with a bang!!!!
I hope all goes well for the remainder of the season-I will not be a stranger to the Edge Hall Road! Thanks to everyone for the past season-it has been a pleasure working with Orrell.

Thanks for everything you did at the club and all the best for the future, you'll be missed girl!

The result yesterday was a little surprising but please if you can try and look for a positive and I know thats very difficult but Orrell did score 29 points away from home which suggests to me that the attack will look after itself and maybe a bit of work on the defensive pattern of play could help. The name of the game is if the opposition don't score than the worst you can do is draw. I also think that if you do manage to score 29 points away from home you should be in with a sniff of getting something out of the game. Concentration is a big part of rugby so come PLAYERS switch on and get ripped in on Saturday.
