Social Calendar...

Now the new season is almost upon us, I am very eager to organise the clubs social calendar and get some events booked.

Last season we held two very successful Jazz Nights which I will be looking to repeat. I do understand however that traditional jazz isn't everyone's cup of tea and am therefore looking for some feedback as to what events would be of interest to the rest of you.

I would ask Joe to organise a poll but it would no doubt only give you the opportunity to vote for one event and besides, I want your ideas. Hopefully that way, interest and attendance will be good.

One thing to bare in mind is that whilst we are looking for events that will attract fans & players, we are also looking to involve the local community as much as possible.

To get you started, some of the things I already have in mind are:

1. Race Night
2. Soul Night
3. Something for the younger one's with a view to introducing them to Orrell and to rugby union.

john, name the date an get the tickets sorted. an to add a bit of spice matt collie said get a poll going an most requested outfit will be worn by his good self on thenight.

I'll get onto it right away Joe can sort out the poll, cos I don't know how to do all that technical stuff

We may well have to hold it at another local venue other than the clubhouse thanks to Laurel & Hardy but I'll sort it out & announce it soon...watch this space

I think get the forwards as playboy bunnies and the backs as fairys that has to be worth seein
