;)Keith. Had a feeling you wouldn't leave it alone - great stuff!
In congratulating the u15s I had no intention of any slur upon any of the other teams - rather the opposite - encouragement. Virtually all of the time I've spent with the club has been devoted to the 1sts, as Keith says. This does not mean that I, or any other 1stXV volunteer/fan, am not interested in what goes on in the junior/colts section. We all want a vibrant and committed club whatever the level!
Should my posts have caused any ructions or jealousies within the junior section then I apologise, but would ask the juniors whether or not it is wrong to praise any team that is doing particularly well? To my mind it should encourage other teams to warrant the same praise.

Paul There is nothing I would like better than to just gently join my old friends on the park bench unfortunately I am crap at bowls and I can see that the junior section is fading fast ,the under 15s are all the club have at the moment as the colts are having problems according to their replies on here, dont know much about the junior colts things need to be put right before the section dissapears i didnt put all the work in over the years to see it go down the pan unfortunely it seems that some people are not creating a happy atmosphere within the juniors and colts and if they aint appy they waint stay it should still be fun at these age groups, even though we want success am only offering to do what I can but had no response from anyone apart from a call from chris chudleigh who tends to agree that a structure is needed I have offered assistance in any way chris needs but dont want to tread on toes as 1) I am to heavy and 2) I am to old and knackered to be putting all the effort in alone again
cheers

Just a quick word about the Junior colts, I first saw these lads in the vase final last season when they got hammered and had 5 binned and 2 sent off,I was then asked if I really wanted to coach them but having nothing to do on Sundays since my son packed in playing at Hindley ARLFC where I spent 10 years I thought sod it and give it a go. This season I am learning from them as much as they are learning about me. After an ordinary start of losing 4 matches by 1 or 2 tries they finally started winning. They also scored all the points in the Lancs cup match against Vale of Lune when they joined with the seniors for the game. The lads allways play open rugby and have smiles on their faces even if they lose. The best part of the season so far was beating top of the league Burnley who even sent us congratulatory messages by text. We have 7 games left this season and I can see a few more wins from them.O the plus side 14 games played 1 sinbinned but 2 sent off . :DAlso 2 players -George Sharrock and Lee Doyle have played for Lancashire this season .So its not all doom and gloom here we are playing and we are winning. As one of the players said NO ONE CAN CALL US ORRELL NIL AGAIN. See you all soon Ian 'mad dog' hollis
